Our main aim is to
breed sound dogs, with careful planning to improve the breed.
We do not always have puppies available and screen our prospective
families.
We do not breed "double dapples", or anything associated with
possible defects. All possible care is taken to breed from
genetically sound animals, rather than breeding to "match fashion".
The prefix
"Dachsiedowns" is registered with the Australian National Kennel
Council, and we abide by the Code of Ethics of the Canine Association of Western
Australia.
Established in 1997, in 1999 we were awarded Top Miniature Longhair
Dachshund, Dachshund Club of WA, with our home bred
Aust. Ch. Dachsiedowns Kellys Mark.
We
have also been awarded Top Miniature Longhair Dachshund,
Dachshund Club of WA for 2005 and 2006 with our home bred chocolate
dappled
Aust Ch Dachsiedowns Starsnstryp.
Aust
Ch Dachsiedowns Blusmidnite
has won the award for 2007
